These chemical indicator strips are essential when using a Helix Testing Kit to properly ascertain the steam penetration within the chamber of an autoclave, as well as the temperature and pressure of saturated steam during the sterilisation phase. If steam penestration is not effective, the risk of improperly sterilised instruments is much higher, leading to health and safety concerns around bacteria and spread of disease. These strips are disposable (used in a reusable Helix Device) and can be stuck into the log book to keep a full record of compliance. Can be used as often as required; we would recommend no less than once per day, or preferably before each cycle.
